Discourses in Vedanta form a part of weekly curriculum and ISBS has collaborated with the Vedanta Academy founded by Shri Parthasarthy, and the disciples of the academy visit the campus to lecture the students about Hindu way of life regularly
Indira Group of institute has realized that in the race for corporate and material excellence one should not lose sight of the need to maintain spiritual and ethical balance. In order to promote greater spiritual awareness among the students the Group also initiated the Indira Spiritual Program under the begin guidance of Param Pujya Shri Bhaiyyuji Maharaj of Shri Sadguru Datta Dharmik Evam Parmarthik Trust, Indore.
Fitness Programme and Yoga
We at Indira strongly believe that the efficiency and effectiveness of individuals is directly related to the mental and physical health of an individual. In order to inculcate these qualities in our students, we have introduced a fitness program comprising of gym, yoga and aerobics. Students joining Indira compulsorily attend fitness classes.
Outdoor Management Training (OMT)
OMT is a unique Training program designed for the students of Indira, wherein the focus shifts from the classroom to Mother Nature, who is a master teacher herself.
Through OMT, a series of adventure and outdoor experiences like trekking, rappelling, rock-climbing, canoeing, star gazing, living-off the land, etc., aims to build one's leadership skills, teamwork abilities, decision making skills, crisis management skills, thus leading to the holistic development of the student. Today OMT is widely recognized by the corporate sector as an effective training technique for developing the personality of their executives.
Induction Program
Induction Program is held at the beginning of every academic session to orient the students about the modalities involved in acquiring a postgraduate qualification in ISBS. Students undergo psychometric evaluation to guide them in their choice of career.
Self Development and Personality enhancement training is carried out by professional motivational trainers.
ISBS Induction 2008
A new batch of Management Students began their foray at the ISBS campus with the induction program which began on 22nd July and ended on 4th August.
The induction programme was inaugurated by Mr. Pradeep Kumar, Global C. T. O. - Suzlon Group. The occasion was graced by the Chairperson IGI, Dr. Tarita Shankar, Group Director, IGI, Prof. Chetan Wakalkar, Director ISBS, Dr. Renu Bhargava, Director Corporate Relations, Ms Madhuri Sathe, Staff and Students of ISBS
Students were induced into the National Entrepreneurship Network by initiating a unique activity where in each student was given Rs. 100/- and were expected to carry out an enterprising assignment which would help them understand the vagaries of business and generate interest in entrepreneurial venture as a career option.
The objective of the Induction was to orient the students to the culture at ISBS along with the stress an creating awareness about developing an all encompassing personality.
The student participated in initiatives such as Mentoring Sessions by Faculty, Session by therapist on the relevance of Mind-Body and Soul connect, training on Management Skill by Mr. Minocher Patel and Mr. Rohit Singh. The finale was Outdoor Management Training which took the students to the nature to imbibe the management of skill such as team building and leadership
Festivals
Indira relishes the hue of festivals in our country and celebrates festivals with tremendous joy and rigor. Holi, Deepawali, Ganpati and the like are celebrated each year.

Republic Day Celebration 2008
The pride in our country is brought to monumental height on occasions such as Republic Day and Independence Day.
At Republic Day 2008 Indira was visited by renowned historian Mr. Ninad Bedekar, for flag hoisting, who spoke with the students to emulate the great leaders and patriots of India who sacrificed their lives in the interest of the country's well-being. The function was attended by the entire Indira family numbering over 8000. Students of Indira then through dance and drama took the audience to the pinnacle of national sentiments.

Indira School of Business Studies publishes its biannual journal, The Indira Management Review, aimed at academicians and management professionals. The Journal entertains serious research and theoretical papers, and critiques case studies. Indira Management Review, in the process hopes to become a vehicle for creating knowledge capital and knowledge sharing. |
'Tapasya' the Journo-Magazine
Tapasya, published thrice a year, is our journo - magazine that is conceptualized, edited and produced by the students of Indira. With articles based on management and allied subjects, Tapasya makes interesting reading. The academic, corporate and the students contribute to editorial content. Tapasya reaches top corporate all over the country and has a circulation of over 5000 copies. |
